In 2025, Apple upgraded 15 products, and here’s a recap of everything new we saw.

📱 iPhone 16e

The iPhone 16e is Apple’s new budget-friendly iPhone, replacing the iPhone SE (3rd Gen). It brings a newer, more modern design along with new features, and it quickly became known for its solid battery life and overall efficiency.

Using the same chassis as the iPhone 14, with a notch on the display, the iPhone 16e also introduces the Action Button, USB-C, and a new 48MP Fusion camera, although it does miss out on wireless charging.

💻 MacBook Air

Apple updated the MacBook Air with the new M4 processor, which now supports two external displays, a 12MP Center Stage camera, and 16GB of RAM as standard. Battery life has also improved, with Apple claiming up to 18 hours on a single charge.

One of the most significant changes, though, is the price drop. The entry model now starts at USD $999 instead of $1,099. This makes it a great option for anyone who wants a solid MacBook without paying extra for Pro features (of course, considering you don’t really need the Pro features).

🖥 Mac Studio

The Mac Studio updates were more subtle this time. The new model now comes with the M4 Max and M3 Ultra chips, rather than the M4 Ultra many people were expecting.

Some key highlights include support for up to 512GB of unified memory on the M3 Ultra, along with major improvements to Thunderbolt 5, which now supports transfer speeds of up to 120Gb/s.

⬛ iPad

This is the 11th-generation iPad, now powered by the upgraded A16 Bionic chip and with base storage increased from 64GB to 128GB.

That said, due to the chipset used, this iPad does not support Apple Intelligence features.

⬛ iPad Air

For the iPad Air, the most noticeable upgrade is the chipset, which has been bumped up to the M3 processor. This brings faster performance and better graphics compared to the previous generation.

📱 iPhone 17

The iPhone 17 was probably the biggest upgrade of the year. While the design looks familiar, there are major internal changes.

It now features a larger 6.3-inch display with 120Hz ProMotion (something many people had been waiting for including myself) along with Always-On display, improved battery life, the new A19 chip paired with 12GB of RAM, upgraded 48MP cameras, Ceramic Shield 2, and Wi-Fi 7 support.

By the end of 2025, the iPhone 17 was named Device of the Year by many reviewers and tech enthusiasts, mainly due to its strong value for money and feature set.

📱 iPhone Air

Introduced in 2025, the iPhone Air is the thinnest iPhone Apple has released in years (second only to the outdated iPhone 6). It features a brand-new design with polished titanium, the A19 Pro chip, a single 48MP camera with 2× zoom, and a 6.5-inch display placing it neatly between the standard iPhone 17 and the 17 Pro Max.

The downside is that, due to how thin it is, battery capacity may feel compromised depending on how heavily you use your phone.

Personally, this is the most beautiful iPhone Apple has released in a long time. You really need to see and hold it in person to appreciate how good it looks.

📱 iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max

The iPhone 17 Pro received a noticeable redesign, now using a unibody aluminium build, along with a $100 price increase. It’s also the first iPhone to feature a vapor chamber cooling system, helping manage heat from what is currently the most powerful iPhone chip Apple has released. Aluminium was chosen specifically because it dissipates heat better than titanium.

In terms of features, the iPhone 17 Pro includes the A19 Pro chip and a new 4×/8× telephoto camera system. The camera housing was redesigned, and interestingly, the Pro model was not released in black this year, which is a bit disappointing, especially for those (like me) who usually go for black. Storage starts at 256GB and goes all the way up to 2TB.

⌚ Apple Watch SE (3rd Gen)

The Apple Watch SE 3 is Apple’s more affordable watch, but it still received some interesting upgrades. These include an Always-On display, faster charging, Sleep Score, and a new, larger display that’s also more scratch-resistant.

However, it still lacks some advanced health features like blood oxygen measurement and sleep apnea monitoring. If those features matter to you, it’s worth checking out the Apple Watch Series 11 instead.

⌚ Apple Watch Series 11

The Apple Watch Series 11 is more expensive than the SE 3, but it delivers a full flagship experience. It includes advanced health features such as hypertension detection for monitoring blood pressure patterns, along with 5G connectivity.

It’s available in aluminium and titanium finishes and also offers improved battery life compared to previous models.

⌚ Apple Watch Ultra 3

The Apple Watch Ultra 3 brought some significant improvements, including up to 42 hours of battery life with normal use, plus 5G and satellite connectivity for emergency messaging. It also features fast charging, a much brighter display reaching up to 3,000 nits, enhanced AI features, and blood pressure monitoring.

🎧 AirPods Pro 3

Another product Apple introduced during the event was the AirPods Pro 3, which now offer up to 2× better Active Noise Cancellation and a redesigned fit with five ear-tip sizes. Apple also added IP57 water resistance and Live Translation powered by Apple Intelligence - I had a chance to personally try this feature out and it’s indeed pretty cool and it works.

 Vision Pro

The updated Vision Pro in 2025 brings improved performance thanks to the new M5 chip. This enables faster AI-powered features, better battery life, and support for up to a 120Hz refresh rate up from the previous 100Hz.

⬛ iPad Pro

Both the 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pro models received the new M5 chip. According to Apple, this delivers up to 3.5× faster AI performance compared to the M4. Other upgrades include Wi-Fi 7 support, faster SSD speeds, and 120Hz external display support.

💻 MacBook Pro

One of my favourite upgrades of 2025, mostly because I really need to replace my MacBook after using the same one since 2016, is the new 14-inch MacBook Pro. It now features the M5 chip with improved performance and graphics, faster SSD speeds, and up to 24 hours of battery life.
