OPPO Find X9 Series
OPPO Find X9 Series colours: Titanium Grey, Space Black, and Velvet Red.
Launching in November, OPPO’s new flagship phones - the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro - will be available with no pre-order period ahead of the launch.
In Australia, this marks the first time since 2021 that OPPO is releasing two flagship phones at the same time. In 2024, only the Find X8 Pro was released, so this is a welcome change.
These phones are genuinely beautiful pieces of tech. From the design to the neutral colour choices, they offer pretty much everything you’d want in a premium device. Some people are even saying they were built with content creators in mind, allowing them to take full advantage of the technology and features OPPO is offering here.
The standout component is definitely the camera system, which was developed in partnership with none other than Hasselblad. The Find X9 features a 50MP camera setup with a main lens, an ultra-wide, and a periscope telephoto with pro-macro and zoom capabilities. The Find X9 Pro takes things even further with a massive 200MP Hasselblad telephoto lens, designed to capture as much detail as possible. For video, both models support 4K at 120fps with Dolby Vision HDR recording, and on the Pro model this also applies to the telephoto lens.
Beyond the cameras, both phones feature stunning displays - a 6.59” screen on the X9 and a larger 6.78” display on the X9 Pro. Both are 120Hz panels with brightness reaching up to 3600 nits, which is especially useful on sunny days.
Another big advantage of the X9 lineup is the battery. These are some of the largest batteries we’ve seen in a smartphone so far. The Find X9 packs a 7025mAh battery, while the X9 Pro comes with a whopping 7500mAh battery. Both support 80W wired and 50W wireless charging, meaning fast top-ups and potentially up to two days of use, depending on how you use your phone. Other notable features include AI-powered tools, the latest version of OPPO’s software - ColorOS 16 running on top of Android - the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, IP69 water resistance, eSIM support, and a new “Snap Key.” This button works similarly to Apple’s Action Button and can be customised to perform different tasks.
In my opinion, this phone really offers the full package for anyone looking for a device with a strong camera system and powerful features. As I mentioned, content creators in particular would be more than satisfied using this phone for shooting their content. If you’re into Android, this is definitely one to add to your list if you’re thinking about upgrading your current phone.
OPPO Hasselblad Travel Kit
OPPO Find X9 Pro Travel Kit.
Ok, this is where things get even more interesting. OPPO, in partnership with Hasselblad, has developed a photography travel kit specifically for the Find X9 Pro. This kit basically lets you turn your phone into a professional camera system. It features a 230mm super telephoto lens with 3.28x optical zoom, enhancing light capture for crisp, true-to-life images.
The kit includes a magnetic case, a lens mounting ring, a teleconverter lens, and a lens bracket - basically everything you need to take mobile photography to the next level. This is honestly a pretty cool set up for content creation!
