Siri Gets a New Life at WWDC26

Siri AI gets a new look.

One of the biggest announcements from WWDC26 was undoubtedly Siri AI, Apple's new and much smarter version of Siri.

For years, Siri has been part of the Apple ecosystem, helping users with simple tasks such as setting reminders, sending messages, checking the weather, and answering quick questions. While useful, it often felt limited compared to other AI assistants that have emerged in recent years. However, with Siri AI Apple is aiming to change that.

Powered by Apple Intelligence, the new Siri is designed to be more personal, more aware of context, and better at understanding natural conversations. Rather than simply responding to a command, Siri can now understand what you're doing on your device and help complete tasks across multiple apps.

For example, Siri can find information from messages, emails, photos, notes, and other applications, helping users locate content much faster.

What I find most interesting is that Apple appears to be taking a more practical approach to AI. Instead of introducing features that feel experimental, many of the new Siri capabilities seem designed around everyday tasks that people actually perform on their devices.

Alongside Siri AI, Apple also previewed iOS 27, which continues the company's focus on Apple Intelligence and deeper integration across the ecosystem. Many of the new features announced for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch are built around making devices work together more seamlessly and intelligently.

Personally, I think this could be the most important Siri update since the assistant was first introduced. Like many Apple users, I've always wanted Siri to become more capable and useful in daily life, and on paper, this update looks like a major step in that direction.

Of course, the real test will come when users get their hands on it. But for now, Siri AI looks like one of the most exciting announcements from WWDC26 and a glimpse at how Apple sees the future of its ecosystem.
